Violinist
Shuaili Du, has shown herself to be an accomplished and versatile young soloist. She is the first prize winner and the audience prize winner of the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Young Artist Competition in Texas Music Festival, 2010. She also won the first prize of Mannes concerto competition in 2012, second prize of the Singapore National Piano and Violin competition in 2010 and is the winner of the 2005 Canton International Summer Music Academy concerto competition.

As a soloist, Ms. Du made her solo debut with orchestra at the age of 16 with the Canton International Festival Orchestra. She has given numerous performances with orchestras, including Xi’an conservatory symphony orchestra, Singapore Festival orchestra and Texas Music Festival Orchestra. In 2011, Ms. Du had been invited to perform the Thaikovsky violin concerto at the famed Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Germany with the Akademisches Orchester under the baton of the renewed German conductor Horst Förster. In 2014 Ms. Du had been invited to make her Lincoln Center debut with Mannes Symphony Orchestra, performing the Shostakovich Violin Concerto No.1.Â

As a chamber and orchestra musician, Ms. Du has performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Singapore Esplanade Concert Hall, Hong Kong Culture Center. Ms. Du worked with many world-renowned maestros including Valery Gergiev, Charles Dutoit, Leon Flesher, Alan Gilbert, Gary Graffma,Martha Argerich,Tokyo String Quartet, Shanghai String Quartet, Orion String Quartet. In Yale, Ms. Du served as the principle violin at the Yale philharmonic. She also performed at the inauguration ceremony of President of the Yale University and many other official events.

Ms. Du currently is the head of Musical Instrument department at Guangzhou University in China. Ms. Du has proven herself to be a dedicated and influential educator. Her students have achieved remarkable success, winning top awards in international competitions like the American International Musicians Competition and the Hong Kong International Violin Competition. Furthermore, her leadership and guidance have been instrumental in leading student ensembles to national accolades, including a top prize at the 7th National College Student Art Exhibition.

Born in Xi’an, China. Ms. Du started to play the violin at age 5. Her extensive training, under the guidance of masters such as Qian Zhou Lucie Robert, and Hyo Kang, includes esteemed institutions like the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, the Mannes School of Music, and Yale School of Music, where she earned an Artist Diploma.
