Presentation
The 2nd edition of Kreutzer International Music Competition will take place from 6th to 10th of August 2024 in Miry Concert Hall and Ghent Royal Conservatory, Belgium.
The competition is open to young violinists and string chamber music groups from all around the world.
There are 3 age categories in violin section and 2 age categories in chamber music section. 3 prizes will be awarded in each age category and will include cash, as well as instruments and music materials.
Prizes totaling 13.000 € will be awarded to the winners.
Categories
1) Solo violin:
Every participant must register at one of the following age categories.
Category A – Candidates of maximum 12 years old and less at the time of competition
Category B – Candidates of maximum 17 years old and less at the time of competition
Category C – Candidates of maximum 33 years old and less at the time of competition
The competitors may apply to a higher category if they wish.
2) Chamber music:
The chamber music groups consist of strings only or strings with piano. Every group must register at one of the following categories:
Category A – Each member of the group must be 18 years old or less at the time of competition
Category B – Each member of the group must be 19 years old or older at the time of competition (no age limit)

There are 3 prizes for each category
1) Solo violin

1st prize - bow in the value of 800 euros

Category B

Category C

1st prize - 1000 euros (offered by the National Lottery)

Special prize among all the violin candidates - a violin worth 4000 €
