Huiming Wen
Violinist
Huiming, Wen currently holds the Lecturer position and Master’s degree advisor at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, the Orchestral Instrument Department of the Zhejiang Conservatory of music in China.
He received 2 Doctorate Degrees from Hochschule für Musik Dresden and Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig in Germany. Previous professors include Prof. Jephgennie Mihayiluovick, Prof. Carolin Widmann, Prof. Annette Unger, Prof. Roland Baldini among others.
Huiming frequently performed as a soloist, as well as a chamber musician. His concerts abroad in Europe have been highly praised by the critics and drawn people’s attention extensively. He was the violinist of the Johannis Piano Trio in 2007 and had performed in Leipzig, Heidelberg, Doseldorf and Upatar etc. He took part in the German International Young Violinist Concert and achieved the "Outstanding Young Violinist" as an honor in 2009. Later, he took part in a series of master classes and concerts in several cities in Germany. In 2010, Mr. Joseph Kalichstein, professor of Juilliard School of Music in the United States, invited him to attend the Nice Music Festival, during which he supervised and performed successfully in the final concert.
Huiming has been invited as a soloist in 2011 to play Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with the Leipzig Symphony Chamber Orchestra. The wonderful performance was highly praised by the Chinese Ambassador in Germany, Mr. Hongbo, Wu and accompanying dignitaries of both countries. After that, He had the chance to play with many orchestras in Europe and China, such as, Mendelssohn Symphony Orchestra of Leipzig (Chief violinist), Philharmonic Orchestra of Leipzig (Chief guest), Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, and Opera House of Brandenburg, etc, also worked with many renowned conductors including: Kurt Masur, Riccardo Chailly, Michael Koehler and Fausto Nardi when he performed more than 100 concerts in Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, China, South Korea and India.
Huiming was frequently invited as a jury member in many competitions, such as the instrumental Music group of Leipzig BachFest International Music Competition, Bodensee International Wettbewerbe Music Competition, The Belgium YSAYE International Music Competition in 2018, Tianjin Violin Competition in 2013 and 2014, "Hummingbird" Chinese Music Competition and Zhejiang Violin Competition.
In addition, he has published numerous academic papers and a monograph, which titled "Research and Appreciation of Classical String Chamber Music Works". With his guidance, his students won many prizes such as the first "Excellence Award" of Zhejiang Conservatory. The Piano trio and The string chamber music of Zhejiang Conservatory won the first prize of "Zhejiang College Students Art Exhibition 2017" and "Zhejiang College Students Art Exhibition 2018" respectively.
