Boxianzi Ling

Boxianzi Ling began her musical studies at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. At age 14, she moved to the Bay Area to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Wei He. She was the Concertmaster of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, has soloed with the San Francisco Ballet Symphony, Symphony Parnassus,Camellia Symphony Orchestra, and the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra.

Boxianzi has won competitions in the US including the Young Artists Concerto Competition with Oakland East Bay Symphony Orchestra in 2012, winning the Parnassus Symphony Concerto Competition in 2016, and claiming first prize in the 2018 SFCM violin concerto competition.

She is doing her graduate study at the New England Conservatory with Donald Weilerstein starting this Fall. She previously studied with Professor Wei He, Ian Swensen and Chen Zhao at San Francisco Conservatory.
