Artur Burmistrov

Of russian origin, Artur Burmistrov arrived to Belgium in 2000. He entered Marie-Paule Cornia’s class at the Huy Conservatory of Music from which he graduated with the highest distinction in 2006. During that period he won several national and international competitions in Belgium, Italy and France (Lion’s Club in Namur, Grétry in Liège, International Competition of Picardie, Rovere d’Oro and Giovani Talenti in San Bartolomeo al Mare, Citta di San Gemini, Citta di Morcone, Andrée Charlier, Dexia Classics, Liège Piano Competition). In 2005, he received the “Namurois de l’année” prize in the “Young talent” category.


In 2011, he completed his Master degree in piano with great distinction in the classes of Jean Schils and Marie-Paule Cornia at the Royal Conservatory of Liège.


Artur perfected his skills with masters such as Daniel Rivera in Italy, Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Jerzy Sterczyński at the Chopin Academy in Warsaw (internship offered by the Chopin Foundation), Jacob Leuschner at the Musik Hochschule in Cologne (Erasmus).


In 2012, he completed his Master degree in piano accompaniment and pedagogy at the Royal Conservatory of Liège. He was an assistant at Marie-Paule Cornia's class and a pianist accompanist during the summer courses in Huy and the International Music Academy in Dinant and Fort-Mahon.


Artur has given concerts as a soloist, chamber musician and in a piano duo. Together with Marie-Paule Cornia he gave concerts – conferences on the lifes of Schumann, Rachmaninov, Ravel, Schubert, organized by the Janssen firm in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany and Spain.


Artur Burmistrov is passionate about the profession of accompanist and accompanies soloists at the large number of concerts, festivals, competitions and masterclasses. He is an active member of the “PoéSi” concert organization in Andenne. He worked at the Huy Conservatory and currently is pianist accompanist at the Royal Conservatory of Liège.
